Penza, 28 April 2016. PenzaNews. The central fountain of Penza city has been reactivated for the first time after the winter for a test run in the morning of Thursday, April 28.

According to a “Gorvodokanal” repair technician Andrei Turgushev, the test run was preceded by a large amount of preparation works – the crews replaced one of the pumps and two of the valves and conducted a full maintenance check of the whole system this year.

“We are cleaning out the trash every day by hand. We also change the water, flush the filters and clean the fountain basin four times over the season,” he added.

The fountain will be launched full-time on May 1, the press service of the Penza city administration informed PenzaNews.

On working days, the fountaion will be active in 12.00-14.00 and 19.00-22.00; on weekend, in 10.00-11.00, 13.00-15.00 and 19.00-22.00. It will be shut down every Monday for maintenance.
