Penza, 30 April 2016. PenzaNews. The preparation of the city for the May holidays was one of the main topics of the meeting held by the Penza city mayor Victor Kuvaytsev on Saturday, April 30.

Among other things, the city administration head instructed his subordinates to conduct the improvement measures for all public locations, such as squares, public gardens, parks and areas for mass events.

In particular, the mayor instructed the Penza city’s Culture Department head Vera Feygina to conduct a replacement of St. George’s ribbons at the Zhuravli public garden [in a Victory Day installation] and beautify the location in general.

Also, the mayor ordered to clean up the areas by cemeteries and churches for the Orthodox Easter.

“We must work as hard as we can to make sure the upcoming holidays are good and pleasant for everyone,” the press service of the city hall quotes Victor Kuvaytsev.
