Penza, 24 May 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev has congratulated the citizens with Slavonic Literature and Culture Day celebrated on Tuesday, May 24.

“We all greatly value the selfless works of Saints Cyril and Methodius. The Slavonic literature tradition created by them largely defined the development of the Russian state, the way its rich cultural and spiritual legacy would multiply to later affect the upbringing of our young generations,” said the head of the region.

According to Ivan Belozertsev, he is glad to see that the youth sincerely and greatly respects the literature and culture of its native country and the feats of their ancestors, which is crucial for the nation.

“I believe that they will keep doing so in the future. […] I wish you sound health, prosperity, happiness, and success in all your plans!” the Penza region government press service quotes the governor.
