“We need to keep the construction speed quite high to open the perinatal center this year, but the quality must not suffer. I am speaking in regards to construction materials, elevators and medical equipment as well,” the head of the region said during the meeting at the construction site on Friday, July 1.

The persons responsible for construction reported to the governor that the progress is currently ongoing with interior and exterior decorating, while violations in construction and documentation by the previous subcontractor were fully rectified.

Ivan Belozertsev instructed the subordinates to intensify supervision over the progress: in particular, the Penza region Goszhilstroytekhinspektsiya will increase its presence at the construction site, while the officials will double-check all figures presented to the governor.

In a particular order, the head of the region asked to keep check of the improvement of the adjacent territories via planting trees, planning a parking lot, and installing lightning.

Also, the regional government was tasked to find additional funding to repair the exterior of the regional hospital.

“We are in the city center, with the university nearby. Let’s make it all beautiful. We must also take care about the adjacent buildings – we plan to keep developing this area in the future, make it more attractive and comfortable for citizens and guests of Penza,” the press service of the regional government quotes the head of the region.
