Penza, 21 July 2016. PenzaNews. Crime detection rate in the Penza region amounted to 73% in the first half of 2016. This was reported by the head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs department Yuri Ruzlyaev during the department board meeting on Thursday, July 21.

He said that the average rate in Russia is 58%.
Yuri Ruzlyaev also noted that the Penza region still remains one of the peaceful regions in the country – according to operating results, the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs occupies the second place in the Volga Federal District and the 12th – in the Russian Federation.
According to him, during the first six months of the year, there was a reduction in number of serious and extremely serious crimes, such as murders, robberies, rapes and stealing.
The head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs department added that at the same time there was registered a growing number of offences committed in the streets and public places, which is connected with changes in legislation.
