Penza to hold Harvest Festival event

Penza, 25 July 2016. PenzaNews. The Belinsky Penza central public library will be holding a Harvest Festival event on Friday, August 19.

Reportedly, the event will attract professionals and amateurs in gardening and vegetable growing.
The visitors of the festival will learn about the history of gardening in Slavic Russia, the first Russian dachas and popular vegetables of the time, and curious trivia about various gardening plants, fruits and vegetables.
In addition, the Harvest Festival will feature an Autumn Beauty Parade exhibition of vegetables, fruits, berries and flowers grown by citizens in their own gardens, as well as rare plants and gigantic vegetables.
Also, the event will be displaying full collections of Russian gardening magazines “Moy Prekrasny Sad,” “Sad Svoimi Rukami” and “Priusadebnoye Khozyaystvo,” says the website of the Belinsky central public library.
