It draws attention to the fact that railway stations, platforms and railway crossings are places of increased danger and distraction of smartphone owners during the game can lead to a loss of alertness and orientation in space.
“The management of the Kuibyshev Railway in the Penza region advises against the use of distracting applications while on infrastructure facilities. The hobby can turn into tragic incident,” the message warns.
As PenzaNews reported earlier, in summer 2016 multiplayer online game Pokemon Go gained great popularity among the residents. It runs on IOS and Android, and is based on “augmented reality” technology, where the digital and real worlds are connected. This is achieved by projecting the picture on the smartphone screen onto the real-world location.
The game allows capturing, training and fighting with virtual Pokemon, which can be found and tamed in the real world.
