Penza, 20 August 2014. PenzaNews. A combined relay dedicated to the Russian State Flag Day will be held in Penza on Friday, August 22.

As the press service of the city administration told news agency “PenzaNews,” the relay will begin with a car rally: the land convoy will start off at 10.00 from Lenin Square and proceed through Kirova, Suvorova, 8 Marta and Okruzhnaya streets — to “Diesel-Arena” sport and spectating complex.

“The Russian flag relay will be then taken up by bicyclists and skaters. They will move along the Olimpiyskaya alley and Lermontova Street to the main entrance of Belinsky park and rest, where the athletes of ‘Marafon’ sports society will be waiting,” the press service noted.

The administration added that the relay will continue down the Lermontova street to Sovetskaya square, where athletes will give the Russian flag to nordic walking sportsmen that will carry it along the Moskovskaya Street to the Lenin square.
