Kirill Mordashev took the first place in juniors 15-17 group for 100 meter breaststroke, while Anastasiya Pigareva showed the second best speed in 50 meter crawl among women’s 13-15.

Moreover, The joint Penza region women’s team – Ekaterina Filippova, Angelina Vankova, Maria Astashkina and Victoria Malyutina – won gold in 4-by-100 medley relay race.

At the same time, the men’s team of Roman Larin, Artem Lazarev, Andrei Kozlov and Ilya Yeremin ended up one step away from the top three.

Overall, the Penza region swimmers earned 37 medals during the VFD championship and competition, says the press service of the regional sports committee.
