Penza triathlete to take part in Abu Dhabi World Series stage

Penza, 4 March 2016. PenzaNews. Elena Danilova, student of the Penza region sports education center, will be taking part in the first stage of the 2016 World Triathlon Abu Dhabi on March 4-5.

The competing athletes will have to overcome a sprinting distance of 500 m swimming, 20 km on bicycle, and 5 km running.

In addition, some of the athletes will take upon the Olympic course of 1.5 km swimming, 40 km on bicycle and 10 km running.

For those who enjoy long distances, the organizers have set up a different variant with 2 km swimming, 80 km on bicycle and 20 km running, says the website of the regional sports education center.
