Penza “Diesel” next to none among Volga zone teams at Russian-wide competition

Penza, 2 April 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza “Diesel” has won the zonal bouts of the Volga zone in the Russian-wide hockey competition for teams composed of 2005-born players.

The team participated in a total of five matches in the finals. The decisive game was held against “Chelny” that suffered a resounding defeat by the Penza players – 5:1.
Igor Chernyshov, who earned 16 “goal + pass” points, was named the best player of the competition.
The final matches for the title of the strongest pitted together eight teams: the Nizhnekamsk “Neftekhimik,” Orenburg “Sarmaty,” Kazan “Ak Bars,” Naberezhnye Chelhny “Chelny,” Almetyev “Neftyanik,” Vysoka Gora “Biektau,” Izhevsk “Izhstal” and Penza “Diesel,” says the press service of the regional Sports Ministry.
