Penza, 11 April 2016. PenzaNews. Sergei Lopushansky has been appointed the new head coach of the Penza hockey club “Diesel,” the regional Minister of Physical Education and Sports Grigory Kabelsky announced during the press conference held on Monday, April 11.

In his introduction of the new trainer, the head of the Sports Ministry clarified that the contract is already signed.

Sergei Lopushansky was heading the Kazan hockey club “Irbis” in the most recent season.

Sergei Grigoryevich Lopushansky is the head coach fo the Penza hockey club “Diesel.”

He was born in Penza on 5 December 1969.

Sergei Lopushansky learned the ropes of hockey in Penza.

He played as a forward in the following teams: “Dizelist” (Penza), “Neftyanik” (Almetyevsk), “Yuzhny Ural” (Orsk), “Komineft” (Nizhny Odes) and “Pitea” (Pitea, Sweden).

He worked as a hockey coach since 2002, and assisted the youth teams “Diesel” (Penza) and “Beliye Medvedi” (Moscow).

From 2007, Sergei Lopushansky worked in the hockey school of “Ak Bars” (Kazan).

In 2011-2012, he was the head coach of the Kazan “Irbis.”

In 2012-2014, Sergei Lopushansky was the head coach of “Bars” (Kazan), and received the bronze prize of the Youth Hockey League championship (2014).

In 2012, he again led the Kazan “Irbis.”
