Penza, 12 November 2015. PenzaNews. Alexei Dodonov, deputy administration head of Kuznetsk city in the Penza region, who is accused of taking a large-scale bribe, was fired from the Kuznetsk city hall under Part 3, Art. 77 of the Labor Codex on Wednesday, November 11 – the day he was detained by the authorities, the head press speaker of the institution Kira Domnina told PenzaNews agency.

However, she struggled to explain which of the two events – the arrest or the decision to fire the official – came first.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, Alexei Dodonov is facing a criminal case under paragraph “V”, Part 5, Art. 290 of the Criminal Code, titled “Taking Bribe,”

According to the press service of the prosecutor’s office, on Wednesday, November 11, the deputy head of Kuznetsk city administration, while in the director’s office of a for-profit organization based in the city, personally took a bribe of 175,000 rubles from the director of the company.

The accused received the money from an individual businessman who sought contracts on placing non-stationary food and non-food goods in Kuznetsky, Yulia Makarova added.

The criminal case is being investigated by the prosecutor of Kuznetsk.
