Penza, 18 December 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev has discussed the potential to build a fruit and berry processing factory with the director of company “Sadovod” Sergei Bogomolov during the business meeting held on Thursday, December 17.
The potential investor expressed his interest in procuring the dedicated equipment currently owned by the Penza region.
“We have the equipment we bought a rather long time ago but was not in use for certain reasons. We would like the factory to be specifically built in the Penza land. We want the Penza region to develop, we want new jobs to appear,” Ivan Belozertsev stated his position.
The head of the region offered the director of “Sadovod” to review a potential to organize the enterprise as a state-private partnership company in the Kuznetsk area that would cover the largest possible number of fruit and berry growing areas in the Penza, Ulyanovsk and Saratov regions.
“We will help you with equipment, choose the building for you. Moreover, the region currently has a large variety of investor support programs, including in agriculture,” he stressed.
Ivan Belozertsev also added that “raw fruits and berries for processing can be bought from the citizens as well, as nearly every village big and small has its surplus of apples and berries.”
The meeting concluded in a partnership agreement, including plans to develop a project for the investment opportunity, says the press service of the Penza region government.
