The issues related to the launch of the factory were discussed during a meeting between the regional Agriculture Minister Andrei Burlakov and the commercial director of the production cooperative “Ogarevsky” Shvarsh Petrosyan on Thursday, April 7.

Among other things, the head of the cooperative explained that the first production line will have a daily output of 20 tons per day, while the enterprise will eventually be producing a range of milk and fermented milk products after a reconstruction and modernization.

The enterprise plans to reach a maximum daily output of 70 tons, with raw materials supplied from its own farms. At the moment, the production cooperative “Ogarevsky” owns 1,838 cows, with plans to expand its livestock even further.

The enterprise achieved agreements to supply milk products to “Magnit” and “Pyaterochka” store chains in advance, while already supplying milk to 78 Penza stores.

In turn, during the meeting, Andrei Burlakov stressed the importance of the milk processing industry for the region and described the state support measures for agricultural enterprises, says the press service of the Penza region Ministry of Agriculture.
