As the press service of the regional government told the news agency PenzaNews, crops were harvested in the square of over 4 thousand hectares, about 12 thousand tons grain crops were grinded, the harvesting capacity is 34 centners per hectare.

In the current year, the crops-growing area in the Penza region is 1 million 343 thousand hectares.

Agrarians will have to harvest grain and pulse crops, including corn, in the square of 717.6 thousand hectares, sunflower – 241.7 thousand hectares, sugar beet – 51.1 thousand hectares, potatoes – 36.9 thousand hectares, vegetables – 11.1 thousand hectares.
