Penza, 24 August 2016. PenzaNews. Farmers of Kamensky area, the Penza region started harvesting sugar beet, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture told PenzaNews.

“According to the operational information provided by the regional agronomic service, at the reporting date gross harvest of sugar beet was 6.5 tonnes with the average yield of 350 quintals per hectare,” the department explained.

The ministry reminded that this year the agrarians of the Penza region will harvest sugar beet on the total area of 51.1 thousand ha.
