Penza, 30 August 2016. PenzaNews. Over 400 tons of granulated sugar was produced at “Atmis-sakhar” in Kamensky area, the Penza region, which started processing sugar beet on Thursday, August 25, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture told PenzaNews.

“In the current season, the plant will increase its processing capacity of sugar beet from 4.1 thousand to 5.2 thousand tons per day,” the department noted.

The ministry added that the company plans to process 750 thousand tons of sugar beet during this season.
