Penza, 9 October 2016. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev congratulated representatives of the agro-industrial complex on the Agriculture and Processing Industry Workers’ Day, which is celebrated on the second Sunday of October.

“The development of the agro-industrial complex is by right among the strategic priorities, because further strengthening of the socio-economic potential of Russia, the well-being of its citizens largely depend on your faithful labour,” the head of the region remarked.

He also added that today agriculture of the Penza region, implementing grand programs of import substitution, reaches a new level of creative achievements.

“Heads of advanced farm units promptly realized that the secret of success is in implementation of advanced technologies, modern machines, equipment, and fertilizers. And it brings results. Year after year, grain, leguminous and sunflower yield has been growing. Meat and poultry products have earned a well-deserved popularity not only in Russia but also abroad. I believe that we have everything to make a decent contribution to solving a large-scale task – to ensure food security of the country, to fill the domestic market with quality food,” Ivan Belozertsev emphasized.

He wished agriculture and processing industry workers good health, prosperity and happiness, as well as new achievements for the benefit of Russia and the Penza region.
