Record amount of sugar produced in Penza region

Penza, 16 January 2017. PenzaNews. Agricultural producers of the Penza region manufactured 250,000 tons of sugar, which is the absolute record for the region. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

"There are three sugar factories in the Penza region:  LLC 'Atmis-sakhar', CJSC 'Bekovsky Sugar Factory' and LLC 'Zemetchinsky Sugar Factory'," the department reminded.

The press service clarified that at present sugar beet processing continues only in one of them – in the enterprise "Atmis-sakhar".
