Penza, 20 June 2017. PenzaNews. In 2017, the Penza region reached the highest indicator of land sown over 15 years. This was reported by the minister of agriculture of the region Andrei Burlakov.

"According to preliminary data, sowing was conducted at the area of 1,375,000 ha including winter crops," he said at the press conference held at the department on Tuesday, June 20.

Andrei Burlakov noted that this year’s indicator is almost 32,000 ha more than that last year.

According to the minister, it became possible to reach such an indicator thanks to systematic work on putting unused agricultural land into circulation.
