Penza, 3 October 2017. PenzaNews. Penza region farmers finished to sow winter crops. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.

The total area occupied by the crops equalled to about 335,000 hectares, which is 10,300 hectares more than last year.

Winter wheat makes up the most part of the sown crops – it was planted at the area of almost 325,000 hectares, which exceeds indicators of 2016 by 14,000 hectares.

Winter rye occupies 6,600 hectares, false flax – 2,900 hectares, triticale – 400 hectares.
