Volume of livestock, poultry and milk production increases in Penza region
Penza, 11 October 2017. PenzaNews. The growth of production performance in the livestock sector was registered in the Penza region as a result of nine months of 2017 compared to the analogous period of the previous year. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the region.

According to the department, from January to September of the current year, over 205,000 tons of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight were produced, which is 1.3% more than in 2016. At the same time, in agricultural organizations the volume of production reached the level of 187,000 tons, which is 1.7% higher than last year.
About 272,000 tons of milk were produced by farms of all forms of incorporation, which is 1.3% more than in the period of January-September 2016. In agricultural enterprises, the volume of production increased by 4.1% – up to 124,700 tons.
In addition, the region also produced 231 million eggs of all kinds. The egg production increased in agricultural organizations by 5.4% – as a result of the nine months the performance equalled to 130.5 million eggs.
