Penza governor suggests sowing fields with hemp near plants for its processing

Penza, 5 January 2018. PenzaNews. Governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev suggested changing the structure of sown areas in municipalities located near the plant for deep processing of hemp in order to ensure its full load. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.

At the meeting with the head of the region, the general director of Konoplex Group Milena Alexandrova reminded that the enterprise for the production of the monothread of the same type for ropes and strings will be launched by harvest 2018.

According to her, the line will take about 3-4 tons of raw material per hour.

"A deeper processing is planned to be started by 2019. Now we are negotiating the placement of the production in the territory of the industrial park Otvel, primary processing will remain in the rural area," Milena Aleksandrova explained.

Ivan Belozertsev noted that the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation is considering several proposals for business support.

"If the federal program is adopted, I will do my best to support your project depending on our capabilities," he said.

Konoplex Group implements a priority investment project on growing and complex processing of industrial hemp in the territory of the Nizhnelomovsky and Penzensky areas.

During the work of the investor in the region, 31 new jobs were created, 19 of which are the production staff, constantly living in rural areas.

In 2017, 600 hectares of fallow land in the Nizhnelomovsky area were introduced into agricultural circulation for sowing of hemp.
