Highly pathogenic avian influenza revealed in Penza region

Penza, 20 June 2018. PenzaNews. Restrictive measures were introduced in the territory of the working settlement of Kolyshley in the Penza region in connection with the detection of highly pathogenic avian influenza. The corresponding decree was signed by governor Ivan Belozertsev in order to isolate, eliminate and prevent the spread of the disease.

Two private houses in Stroiteley and Vostochnaya streets were recognized as areas of epizootic outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza. The territories were quarantined for a period of 21 days.

A number of prohibitions including enter of outside vehicles and persons excluding personnel directly serving the problem population of birds and experts in the field of veterinary medicine were introduced.

In addition, it is not permitted to take poultry and eggs, feed, tools, equipment and litter away from the territory of the households.

Poultry trade is also not allowed.

The document set a threatened area with a depth of 5 km from the borders of the affected territories, including working village Kolyshley, towns Rodnikovsky and Yagodny, the villages of Zelenovka and Sushchevka, Kaisarovka, Karaulovka and Nezvanovka.

The depth of the zone of observation is 10 km. It includes the following settlements: Berezovka, Lesnoy, Gorely, Cherkassk, Skripitsino Staraya Potlovka, Chebotaevka, Treskino, Pleshcheevka, Apraksino and Karaulovka.
