Quarantine in connection with avian influenza introduced in four territories of Penza region

Penza, 22 June 2018. PenzaNews. Quarantine in connection with highly pathogenic avian influenza previously discovered in private households of the working village of Kolyshey was introduced in four other territories of the Penza region. Corresponding regulations were signed by governor Ivan Belozertsev on Thursday, June 21.

Restrictive measures affected facilities of the companies operating within two agricultural holdings – JC Vasilyevskaya Poultry Factory in the village of Sakhazavod of the Bekovsky area (a member of Cherkizovo Group) and LLC PenzaMolInvest in the village of Katovka of the Kolyshleysky area (a member of Damate Group).
In addition, centres of the disease were also identified in the territory of three households in the Lopatinsky area – in the villages of Kozlovka and Lopatino.
In addition, they were identified in two private households of the Kolyshleysky area – in villages Alferyevka and Treskino.
Quarantine in connection with highly pathogenic avian influenza for a period of 21 days was introduced in the territory of all epizootic centres of the disease.
It is prohibited to bring poultry, eggs and other poultry products, as well as feed, equipment and litter out from the problem areas. Poultry trade is not allowed.
