Penza, 17 June 2019. PenzaNews. 9,764 hectares of unused arable land have entered into the agricultural turnover in the Penza region since the beginning of 2019. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

The department said that more than 4,000 hectares of the land had been cleared of trees and shrubs.

"The Mokshansky area occupies the leading position when it comes to the introduction of previously unused arable land into agricultural turnover," the press service said adding that the indicator of the area amounted to about 1,550 hectares.
