Penza, 25 July 2019. PenzaNews. Over 200,000 tons of grain were ground in the Penza region. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the region on Thursday, July 25.

The average yield of grain and leguminous crops is 25 quintals per hectare.

The highest yield was observed in the Bashmakovsky area – 37 quintals per hectare, as well as in the Vadinsky and Spassky areas – 30 quintals per hectare.

According to the latest data, 175,000 tons of winter wheat, 956 tons of winter rye, and 75 tons of winter triticale were harvested in the Penza region. In addition, over 1,000 tons of spring wheat, 11,000 tons of barley and 15,000 tons of peas were received. Technical crops were harvested from the area of 485 hectares.

Farmers of all areas started seasonal work.
