Penza, 31 July 2019. PenzaNews. Almost 550,000 tons of grain was ground in the Penza region. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the region on Monday, July 29.

The average yield of grain and leguminous crops in the region remained at the level of 25 centners per hectare. The crops were threshed on the area of 230,400 hectares.

The highest yield was achieved in the farms of the Belinsky area and made up 43 centners per hectare. High results were also achieved in the Bekovsky area – 36 centners per hectare, in the Tamalinsky area – 35, in the Lopatinsky and Serdobsky areas – 34.

Technical crops were harvested from the area of 514 hectares. According to the latest data, the gross harvest of the winter false flax was 365 tons with an average yield of 8 centners per hectare.
