Penza, 16 August 2019. PenzaNews. Farmers of the Penza region have started to sow winter rye. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

Sowing of winter rye starts in Penza region

"Sowing of the culture has begun in Kamensky, Kuznetsky, Maloserdobinsky and Sosnovoborsky areas" the department explained.

The Ministry of Agriculture clarified that, according to the latest data, rye had been sown on the area of 1,500 hectares.

The press service added that the rest of the municipalities will start work in the coming days.
