Penza, 15 November 2019. PenzaNews. More than 310,000 tons of cattle and poultry were slaughtered in the Penza region from January to October 2019.

According to Penzastat, it is almost 22% more than during the same period of the previous year.

More than 93% of the total volume of livestock and poultry was produced by agricultural organizations, which made up approximately 290,000 tonnes. This is 23.5% more than in the first 10 months of 2018.

5.8% falls on the share of households, which produced about 18,000 tons. This is 3% less than the result achieved from January to October last year.

Farms and individual entrepreneurs produced 0.8% of the total volume of livestock and poultry for slaughter, which is less than 2,600 tons. For the same period last year, this figure was 15% higher.
