Egg production in Penza region increases by 5%

Penza, 23 January 2020. PenzaNews. Egg production in Penza region increased by 5%, from 250 million eggs in 2018 to 262.5 million eggs in 2019. This is evidenced by data from the territorial body of the Federal State Statistics Service.

Agricultural organizations accounted for 48% of the total; this figure increased compared to 2018. However, there is a negative trend: their productivity decreased by 5% - from 133.9 million to 127.2 million units.
There was also a drop in production in households by almost 3%: from 93.2 million to 90.5 million. Their share in the total volume is less than 35%.
According to Rosstat, peasant farms and individual entrepreneurs showed an increase of 95%. In 2018, 23 million eggs were produced, in 2019 – 44.9 million eggs. The share of peasant farms and private entrepreneurs in total egg production increased from 9% to 17%.
