Penza, 23 July 2020. PenzaNews. 32.8 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops were threshed in Penza region. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

“The average yield is 31 centners per hectare,” the department specified.

The press service said that the gross harvest of the winter wheat was 19.5 thousand tons, that of the winter rye – 400 tons, that of the barley – 9.8 thousand tons, and that of the peas – 3.1 thousand tons.

“In 2020, agricultural producers of Penza region will have to harvest grain and leguminous crops from an area of more than 800 thousand hectares,” the ministry explained.
