Spring sowing in Penza region covers area of 743 800 hectares

Penza, 20 May 2021. PenzaNews. Spring sowing was carried out in Penza region on an area of 743 800 hectares, which is 76% of the target. This was stated in a message spread by the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

“Cereals and leguminous crops were sown on an area of 386 600 hectares,” the text specifies.

It adds that industrial crops were sown on 297 600 hectares, including 43 000 hectares of sugar beet and 199 400 hectares of sunflower.
