Penza, 27 July 2021. PenzaNews. 492 900 tonnes of grain and leguminous crops were produced in Penza region; the average yield was 30 centners per hectare. This is according to the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the ministry, the gross output of winter wheat was 395 000 tonnes, with an average yield of 30 centners per hectare; that of winter rye was 9 100 tonnes with an average yield of 23 centners per hectare; that of barley – 66 300 tonnes with an average yield of 33 centners per hectare; oats – 2 300 tonnes with an average yield of 24 centners per hectare; as well as peas – 17 700 tonnes with an average yield of 25 centners per hectare.

“This year agricultural producers will have to harvest grain and leguminous crops from an area of 853 700 hectares,” the text reads.
