Penza, 3 September 2021. PenzaNews. Farmers of Penza region started to harvest sugar beet. This is according to a statement released by the press service of the region’s Ministry of Agriculture.

“Kamensky area was the first to start harvesting,” the text notes.

It clarifies that, according to the latest data, the sugar beet was harvested from an area of 529 hectares and 17 500 tonnes were produced.

“This year agricultural producers will have to harvest sugar beet from an area of 53 900 hectares,” the text adds.
