“According to investigation, the truck with the man in question as the driver was stopped by the police officer at the 627th km of the M5 ‘Ural’ federal highway in the morning of 21 February 2016. The investigation showed that the truck lacked a tachograph used to record driver’s work and break time, as well as equipment required for transportation of hazardous materials,” Lyudmila Fomina, senior assistant of the head of the regional Investigative Committee for media relations, told PenzaNews.

In an attempt to evade administrative punishment, the suspect offered the traffic police officer 9,300 rubles, which he placed on the police card’s dashboard, she added.

“The traffic police refused to accept the bribe money,” she pointed out.
