Kolyshley, 26 March 2016. PenzaNews. The police are investigating a case of online fraud with a tractor-for-sale ad that ended up with a 36-year-old citizen of the Kolyshley area in the Penza region losing his money.

“According to the man, he found an ad on Avito.ru that offered an MTZ-80 tractor for 115,000 rubles. He called the phone number, and an unidentified person on the other end of the line told him to transfer an advance payment to make the purchase. By following his instructions, the victim transferred a total of 95,000 rubles to a bank account over the span of two days, but did not receive the tractor,” the press service of the Penza region Ministry of the Interior department informed PenzaNews.

The police are currently holding an investigation to identify the culprits, they clarified.
