The people behind the illegal gambling parlor located in an apartment building on Kalinina street in Penza are now facing a criminal case under Part 1, Art. 171.2 of the Criminal Code, “Illegal Organizing and Conducting Games of Chance,” Lyudmila Fomina, senior assistant of the head of the regional Investigative Committee for media relations, told PenzaNews.

“The inspection of the premises – a non-residential location in the building basement – resulted in 15 seized gambling machines. Both the parlor administrator and the gamblers were present at the location at the time of the raid,” she reminded.
The illegal gambling location was successfully unveiled and closed down in spite of the conspiracy measures implemented by its orchestrators, Lyudmila Fomina stressed.
“The Investigative Committee is currently in process of gathering evidence. The investigators are questioning witnesses, have appointed an inspection of the seized equipment, and working on identifying a circle of persons that must be held responsible in the criminal case,” she explained.
