Penza, 30 March 2016. PenzaNews. A 43-year-old Penza woman has lost money to a fraudster when trying to sell a Land Rover.

“The woman published a sale ad on Avito.ru website. Five days later, she received a text message from an unidentified woman, who said she wishes to buy the car. The fraudster asked the victim to tell her the banking card credentials and the operation confirmation codes under the guise of transferring an advance payment,” the press service of the Penza region Ministry of the Interior department told PenzaNews.

The car owner followed the requests, helping the female fraudster gain access to her account and withdraw 62,000 rubles, they added.

“The case is currently being investigated,” the police said.
