Penza police force puts end to drug distribution gang
Penza, 30 March 2016. PenzaNews. The police have arrested the members of a drug gang involved in distribution of synthetic drugs and psychotropic substances in Penza.
The gang was composed of people living in the city itself, and the eldest of them is 35, the press service of the Penza region Ministry of the Interior department informed PenzaNews.
“They did not know and never met each other. They had different roles in the gang. Some were drug mules – they received drugs packed in singular doses and distributed them by stashes they chose on their own. Following that, they reported stash locations to the operator whom they contacted strictly via Internet,” they explained.
According to the press service, the police also detained the gang members that were trafficking large drug batches and spread them into smaller packets for stashing.
“Based on current information, the gang has been active in Penza for several months,” the police clarified.
The law enforcement forces searched the gang members’ residences and seized over 400 grams of “spice” and “speed” synthetic drugs, an electronic scale and packaging, as well as their computers, tablets and laptops, the Ministry added.
“The accused are currently under arrest. They will face several criminal cases. The police are collecting information about the activities of the criminal gang and identifying all its members,” the Penza region Ministry of the Interior department summed up.
