According to investigation, the man in question was planning to streamline production of synthetic drugs for sale in the Penza region and the adjacent regions. To do that, he rented a far-away garage of 100 sq. meters with a separate entry from an acquaintance.

“He bought a wholesale batch of amphetamine components and under-the-counter chemical tools online. The police raided the drug laboratory creation process at the final stage. The culprit was on the verge of adding the final component to the synthesis to get the first batch of 300 grams – or 1,500 doses. During the raid, the police located and seized enough drug components to synthesize 5,000 meth doses,” the press service of the Penza region Ministry of the Interior department informed PenzaNews.

According to them, the suspect was planning to begin online drug sales in the very near future, and registered a number of counterfeit e-wallets to conduct the purchases.

“The young man told the police that he was making the drugs for personal use. However, later investigation showed that he is not using drugs on his own. The man now faces a criminal case on attempted production of illegal drugs, for a punishment of up to 15 years in prison,” the police clarified.
