Investigative Committee begins checks after newborn girl body discovered at Penza dumpster

Penza, 4 August 2016. PenzaNews. The Investigative Committee began a pre-investigation check after a newborn baby girl body was found at a Penza city dumpster, Lyudmila Fomina, senior assistant of the head of the regional Investigative Committee for media relations, told PenzaNews.

“In the morning of August 3, investigators received information that a cloth-wrapped body of a newborn baby girl was discovered at a city dumpster by the workers,” she said.
The medical examination of the newborn baby to establish the date and circumstances of death is already underway, she clarified.
“We are also checking if the baby was stillborn, questioning the witnesses, and establishing the full picture of the incident,” Lyudmila Fomina noted.
