Penza, 27 August 2016. PenzaNews. A 40-year-old resident of Saratov, who stabbed his father living in Penza with the scissors, was detained.

As the press service of the regional MIA told PenzaNews, a man, born 1949, was taken to hospital with stab wounds.

“The son from Saratov used to come and visit his father. When drinking alcoholic beverages, the men had a quarrel as a result of which the son stabbed his father. According to him, they did not get on well. And since he was drunk, he was unable to cope with emotions,” the department explained.

The police clarified that the suspect had repeatedly been prosecuted for similar offenses — the last time he was convicted in 2004 and spent 8 years in prison.

“The man repented for his deed and admitted his guilt. Police opened a criminal case under part 2, paragraph “z,” Art. 111 of the Criminal Code “Deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm,” the department added.
