Penza, 16 September 2016. PenzaNews. A 44-year-old resident of Penza is suspected of repeated raping of his 6-year-old granddaughter and her peer.

“In September, the suspect asked a familiar 6-year-old girl to go with him and his granddaughter by car to one of the villages of Bessonovska area, where he owned a flat. On the way, as well as in the apartment, using his physical superiority and the helpless condition of the child, he raped her and committed violent acts of sexual nature,” Lyudmila Fomina, senior assistant of the head of the regional Investigative Committee for media relations, told PenzaNews.

She said that after returning home the girl told about what happened to her mother, who turned to the police.

“Immediately, the investigators instituted criminal proceedings. The attacker was detained and taken into custody,” the agency interlocutor added.

According to her, the investigators found that the man repeatedly committed similar actions against his 6-year-old granddaughter since 2014.

“The attacker committed crimes in various places, including his apartment in Penza, when taking the child for a walk. It is established that the arrested person has previously been convicted of similar offenses and served his sentence in prison,” Lyudmila Fomina explained.

She noted that currently, the circumstances of the crime are investigated, the evidence base is collected and verified.
