Resident of Issinsky area charged with possessing 27 kg of marijuana “for baiting fish”

Penza, 26 October 2016. PenzaNews. A criminal case against a 53-year-old resident of the village of Kilmaevka of Issinsky area of the Penza region on illegal acquisition and possession of, without an intention of selling, 27 kg of marijuana was sent to the court for consideration on the merits.

“The indictment says that on August 27 during the search in the territory of the homeownership there was discovered and seized about 27 kg of narcotic substance – marijuana, which he acquired over the years by gathering wild plants of cannabis in their village,” the senior assistant of the head of the regional prosecutor for media relations Svetlana Artamonova told PenzaNews.
According to her, the law breaker kept marijuana in cans in the barn.
“During the interrogation, the accused explained that he collected cannabis for its further use in fishing as baiting,” the agency interlocutor noted.
