Penza VimpelCom PJSC employee fined for copying subscribers’ data

Penza, 1 November 2016. PenzaNews. The penalty of a fine of 50 thousand rubles was assigned to a specialist of office sales and service of Penza branch of Vimpel-Communications PJSC (TM “Beeline”), who copied and use subscriber data for personal purposes.

“In January 2016, using her official position, while at her workplace, the girl copied the subscribers’ personal data, including name, first name, middle name, registration address, passport details, parameters of communication services, cash balance on the account, the tariff plan, and passed for further use for personal purposes,” the press service of the Russian FSS in the Penza region told PenzaNews.
The ministry clarified that the girl was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 3, Art. 272 of the Criminal Code “Illegal access to computer information.”
“The verdict has come into legal force,” the press service added.
