Organization of lottery terminal gambling suppressed in Penza

Penza, 14 December 2016. PenzaNews. Police officers suppressed organization of illegal gambling with the help of machines masked as lottery terminals, which were installed in shopping centres, pubs, cafes, and car washes in Penza.

“We received the information, that a 28-year-old local resident organized illegal gambling using machines masked as lottery terminals, which had access to the Internet. It was found out that a 20-year-old student of one of the Penza institutions of higher education was involved in the illegal activity as an administrator and a money collector,” the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs told PenzaNews.
The office noted that one of the suspects was arrested in a pub after he collected cash from the gambling machine.
“In his car, the police officers discovered and confiscated a notebook with the information about the total revenue from gambling machines, keys to the terminals and cash money. The supposed organizer of the illegal activity was arrested as well,” the office added.
The police office specified that the confiscated gambling machine contained 85,000 rubles.
“During one night the officers confiscated 11 gambling machines, which contained the revenue of about 200,000 rubles,” the press service said.
The office added that at present they organized investigation upon the illegal gambling organization.
“We organized computer forensic examination which will help to find out in what way the process of gambling at the confiscated terminals was conducted. The materials of the examination will be directed to the Investigative committee,” the police office summed up.
