Kuznetsk, 19 December 2016. PenzaNews. About 3,500 litres of spirits and more than 3,000 litres of counterfeit alcohol in the bottles with false federal stamps were confiscated in Kuznetsk of the Penza region.

“The policemen registered two places where the counterfeited alcohol products were supposedly manufactured,” the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs told PenzaNews.

The office specified that the actions on the products confiscation were conducted within the investigation of the criminal case that was opened on mass alcohol poisoning in Kuznetsk in November, 2016.

“At present, the office conducts operational investigative actions aimed at establishing places of counterfeit alcohol realization and people who delivered it to Kuznetsk,” the police noted.

As it was reported earlier, mass alcohol poisoning took place in Kuznetsk of the Penza region after the celebration in the show-bar “Nora” at the end of November, 2016.

A criminal case was opened on the incident under Part 3, Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Production, storage, transportation and trade in goods or products, work or service delivery that do not correspond to the safety requirements”.

The work of the entertainment establishment was stopped till January 21.
