Penza, 1 February 2017. PenzaNews. Police officers arrested two residents of Penza who are suspected in five robberies of mobile shops and jewelry stores.

"Two men stole a mobile phone and an iPhone 5S from a store near the bus station. During the operative measures, police officers established the identities of the criminals, who had been found criminally liable before for committing serious crimes," the worker of investigation department No. 1 of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Penza Dinar Abdulin said.

According to him, the men confessed that they committed the thefts by premediated agreement.

"Moreover, they casted parts – one of them committed a theft and the other cleared the way for escape. They sold the stolen things and divided the money in equal parts," the investigator specified.

He added that criminal cases under the Item “a”, Part 2, Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Robbery" were opened.

"The sanction of the article presupposes imprisonment for up to 7 years," Dinar Abdulin added.

Currently, the elected measure of restriction is detention.
